ARCA RE/MAX Series
MOUNT VERNON, IL (May 8, 2008) - In the midst of a hectic six week race schedule Gabi DiCarlo took a quick break to be the guest of honor at J.L. Buford Intermediate Center in Mount Vernon, Illinois. The Mount Vernon Police Department and Dare Officer Ray Gilbert were having the Graduation proceedings for over 250 city wide 5th grade students. The students had completed the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program and were being honored for pledging to a drug free life.

Mooresville, NC (5.8.08) -In the 6th race of the season in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, #37 Dexter Bean and Team GLOCK will travel to Sparta, Kentucky for the Drive Smart! Buckle Up Kentucky 150 Saturday evening thriller. The race will be a short 100 laps (150 miles) on the 1.5 mile paved oval track. For those who will not be at the race, live timing and scoring for practice, qualifying and the race will be available on arcaracing.com.

SPARTA KY (5-8-08) This next weekend at the 1.5 mile Kentucky Speedway, the driver of the Bowen Family Homes Dodge #45 car, Michael Phelps will have another chance to prove himself at the Buckle Up Kentucky 150 race on Saturday, May 10th. Last week at Rockingham Speedway, was unfortunate for Phelps after a crash took him out about half way through the race on lap 112.

Mooresville, NC (05-07-2008) - After the team's debut at Rockingham Speedway with Justin Marks, Hattori Racing Enterprises is set for the second of eight ARCA RE/MAX Series races on the team's partial-season schedule that will prepare HRE for a full, ARCA RE/MAX Series season in 2009. The team was organized by owner Shigeaki Hattori and the team's sponsorship group to give young, talented drivers a chance to compete in the best equipment possible. For Kentucky Speedway, Sean Caisse will pilot the no. 01 Advics Camry for HRE. Advics, with a facility in nearby Hebron, KY, is sure to show support for Caisse in Saturday's Drive Smart! Buckle Up 200.

SPARTA KY (5-8-08) - The 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series crop of rookies is arguably the most competitive rookie line-up in the history of the 56-year-old tour.
Case in point: the top-six SunTrust Rookie of the Year Contenders are also in the top-10 in ARCA RE/MAX Series national championship points headed to Kentucky Speedway for this Saturday's May 10th Drive Smart! Buckle Up Kentucky 150.

DENVER NC (5-8-08)--Justin Lofton and the Lofton Cattle team head to Kentucky Speedway this weekend for the Drive Smart! Buckle Up 150. Looking to rebound from a disappointing run at Rockingham, the Lofton Cattle team is anxious to return to a mile and a half speedway where the Eddie Sharp Racing organization has had plenty of success.

DENVER NC (5-8-08)--With a pole-winning Toyota loaded on the hauler, Ken Butler, III and the No. 20 Aaron's Lucky Dog Dream Machine team are looking forward to returning to the Kentucky Speedway. Not only do they have a hot rod ready to start this weekend's Drive Smart! Buckle Up 150, but the Kentucky Speedway is where Eddie Sharp Racing started a streak of success in 2007. Last season, Ken Butler, III and teammate Michael McDowell started 1-2 at the speedway.

SLATINGTON PA (5-8-08)--The cards were on the table and ARCA RE/MAX series driver, Kory Rabenold was ready to play. Cards? No racing. Auto racing at the famed and historic Rockingham Speedway- a track that has sat dormant for the last four years. Fifty stock cars filled the track last Sunday and every driver had thoughts about winning at "The Rock". Rabenold didn't come out as the event winner, but did overcome many obstacles and finished the race in the 20th spot.

SPARTA KY (5-8-08)--While part-time ARCA RE/MAX Series driver Brett Hudson is known for his short-track brilliance, the Owensboro, Kentucky native has recently developed a new edge for speedway racing. In addition to stout efforts on the short tracks last year Hudson delivered with top-10 efforts at the intermediate tracks of Kentucky Speedway and Chicagoland Speedway respectively.

SPARTA KY (5-8-08)--ARCA RE/MAX Series driver Justin Allgaier had started out the 2008 with success posting two second place finishes (Daytona, Iowa) and one win (Salem). But with the good comes the bad where at the past two races Allgaier has had difficulty with an engine in Kansas that put him out of the race and a disappointing 27th place finish at Rockingham after changing the transmission during the race.

CONCORD NC (5-8-08)--In five career ARCA RE/MAX Series starts Roush Fenway Racing development driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has established himself as a top contender. Stenhouse is coming off an impressive run at Rockingham where he completed the 312-lap event (the longest race of his career) in its entirety and brought the No. 99 Ford home in a respectable third.

SPARTA KY (5-8-08)--Five races have been completed in the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series (ARS) season and Stuart, Florida native Bryan Silas has racked up two top-10 finishes. Most would be happy with those results but for the sophomore driver and his Fast Track Racing team, they are looking for more, a lot more.

CONCORD NC (5-8-08)--Andy Belmont Racing heads to Kentucky this week full of promise, high expectations, and family celebrations. Friday, May 9th marks the 16th wedding anniversary of Andy & Jennifer Belmont, long time ARCA competitors and owner of the #1 MAACO/Boudreaux's Buttpaste Ford Fusion.

ROCKINGHAM NC (5-7-08)--The temperature wasn't the only thing that was hot this weekend at Rockingham Speedway. Justin Lofton solidly landed the No. 20 Lofton Cattle Dodge landed in the third starting position for the Carolina 500 at Rockingham Speedway.

Mooresville, NC (5.5.08) - The #37 GLOCK Chevrolet ran in the Carolina 500 on Sunday afternoon in the ARCA RE/MAX Series event at Rockingham Speedway. This was the first race at the historical track since 2004. There were 50 competitors that participated in the long event (312 miles/312 laps) and the GLOCK Chevrolet crossed the finish line in the 11th position.

ROCKINGHAM NC (5-7-08)--Historic Rockingham Speedway and the ARCA RE/MAX series brought the sound of engines back to The Rock , Sunday, with an historic starting grid of fifty cars for the inaugural Carolina 500. As Tony Stewart dropped the green flag, Matt Carter, driver of the No. 46 Stine Seed/Liberty Link - Fort Dodge Animal Health Ford Fusion, roared to top speeds in the No. 6 position.

Statham, GA (May 7, 2008) - Michael Phelps, Tayler Malsam and Nick Tucker race their way in the Carolina 500K this weekend and discovered why this track is called the "ROCK."

HOLMDEL, NJ (5-6-08)--"I need to fill my pockets with four leaf clovers, carry a rabbit's foot, find other items to bring me luck," said Dominick Casola as he rehashed the bad luck that has plagued him since the beginning of the ARCA RE/MAX racing season. "I just hope we can turn things around at Kentucky this weekend."
