Gullatta had never been to Daytona; in fact, he had never even attended a race there. He shows up, jumps into one of the Rehagen cars, and posted a P2 in just his fourth session in the car. He had held P1 for a while until one of the regulars showed up and nipped his time. Discussions were held about Gullatta joining forces with Rehagen Racing, but no funding was available for a fifth car.

TOLEDO OH (10-21-07) - Columbus, Ohio's Bill Withers climbed into his #57 Mannings USA-Hall Electronics Ford Rangera bundle of nerves before the final event of the season at Toledo Speedway; but heclimbed out all smiles after narrowly securing the 2007 ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series championship.
The popular 50-year-old veteran edged Cleveland Ohio's Nick Gullatta by just 30 points en route to his second series crown.
"I can't tell you how relieved I am," said Withers. "At the beginning of the race, we had backed up to 13th, and I knew we had to do better. But when you're trying to be conservative, and not wreck, that can be challenging. But this is the best feeling; I'm just so relieved. I'm going to enjoy this championship more than the first. And next year, we're coming back to do the same, and win some more races too."

"When you look back at the history of this place (Salem Speedway), it's just an honor to be on the winner's list among so many great drivers," said Gullatta. "If it wasn't for some DNF's this year, we'd be leading this thing; but we'll take the win here at Salem and take it to Toledo and see what we can do with it there. GROVE CITY OH (10-17-08) - I would like to clarify my "selling out" comments in my last column. I am just selling my equipment, not retiring. I am actively looking for someone to drive for in 2009. Preferably the Lincoln Welders Truck Series or RE/MAX Series but I am open to any and all opportunities full time or part time. I just want to drive!
The weather was awesome for both days of racing this past weekend at Toledo Speedway! The pits were overflowing with forty three cars and twenty four trucks, the stands were full and both races were very exciting. It just doesn't get much better than that!
Our day pretty much went how our whole season did, not as well as we would have liked but no doubt it could have been much worse.

GROVE CITY OH - To say Salem was a disappointment to our team would be an understatement. We went into the race with the same setup that we ran well with last year and our hopes were high that we could have a strong run. It just didn't work out that way. We started out OK showing as sixth fastest our first couple of times out in practice. We actually picked up a couple of tenths and dropped to tenth before the session was over, not a good sign. We just couldn't get the truck to turn like it should in turns one and two.
