SALEM IN (9-13-08) - ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series veteran Steve Christman, in the Bagman Racing Chassis-R&B Fabrication Chevy S-10, raced from the 10th starting position to win the Advance Auto Parts 50 Saturday afternoon at Salem Speedway.
The Fort Wayne, Indiana driver took the lead for the final time on lap 28, and then held off Nick Gullatta to earn the hard-fought victory and first-ever at Salem.
"Can't think of anyone else I'd rather be battling with out there other than Nick (Gullatta)," said Christman. "He races me hard, but always clean. Our truck was really working. I could put it about anywhere I needed to." Results

GROVE CITY OH (8-22-08) - Numerous people (OK, at least two) have been asking when I am going to do another column, so here it is. It is hard to believe that we have run four races and had a rainout since my last one. At this point I am just thankful that we are still out there "living the dream!"
At the end of my last column I mentioned that we had come to the realization that there was something wrong with our engine and had taken it to Tom Hooker Engines in Indy. Hooker did a great job getting it repaired for us in time for the Kil Kare race.

The 2008 race, Saturday August 16, will be the third running of the Best Western Challenge for the Lincoln Welders Truck Series participants.
2006 ARCA Truck champ Paul Hahn, of Canton, Michigan, leads the 2008 title chase in a quest for his second championship. He is being chased by 2006 ARCA Truck Rookie of the Year Nick Gullatta of Cleveland, Ohio.

GROVE CITY OH (7-5-08) - O' Canada!
It was great to be in Canada the last two races! A couple of weeks ago we didn't think we would be able to do the Canada races so we were just glad to be there! Ed Yoak of Ed & Co. Racing Supplies called me just before the Kil Kare rainout and we worked out a deal for him to tow our race truck up there for us. Tom, everyone on our team and I want to say "thanks" to both Ed & Jackie for doing that for us. Without them we might not have been there. Next we have to "thank" Ted Hayes from EPH Tools. He not only sponsored the race at Sauble but put together enough sponsorship money for each team to get an extra $290 each above the race purse! We were proud to carry the EPH Tools logo on our hood for this event. Thanks Ted!

NELLES CORNERS ON (6-28-08) - Nobody does it quite like Nick Gullatta, at least not Saturday afternoon at Cayuga Motor Speedway where the Cleveland, Ohio driver won the 2BKool Pole Award, led the most laps and won the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series 50-lap main event.
"It may have looked easy but it was anything but simple," said a tired Gullatta from victory lane. "This track is very challenging, very bumpy - we worked very hard on the set-up and fortunately it paid off for us. I want to congratulate Mike Young for a great run today - he did a really nice job out there."

GROVE CITY OH (6-12-08) - Impound races?
Why have the ARCA Officials decided that most, if not all, of our races should be impound races? I understand that some promoters may not be as flexible on their nightly schedule and we need to accommodate them as needed. Like at Delaware when the turn around time between qualifying and race time is short. But for the second race in a row at Flat Rock we had plenty of time in between but it was still determined to be an impound race.

GROVE CITY OH (5-30-08) - Wow it is hard to believe it has been three weeks since I last wrote a column. It sort of funny how it works for me, sometimes I get on a roll writing and other times there just seems to be a mental block. Mental block, now there is a good one. Maybe it is just mental, who knows.......
I have received more feedback on my columns this year than ever before and I just want everyone to know that I appreciate it! So far most of it has been positive and that is part of what motivates me to write more. One of our competitors even asked why he had not been mentioned in the column yet this year. I know he has a good group of people on his team Doty, Justin, Michelle, Dave and Tom but for some reason I just can't remember his name......

FLAT ROCK MI (5-28-08) - ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series (ALWTS) championship point leader Nick Gullatta and the no. 31 Stan & Judi Rosen Racing team are headed to Flat Rock Speedway for the upcoming Heritage Newspapers 100 Saturday, May 31st.
The events marks Gullatta's third appearance at the tricky, quarter-mile oval; but he's ready for the challenge.
"In last year's race, we had a 50 cent parts failure," said Gullatta. "The throttle linkage clip somehow worked its way loose and we lost 3 laps in the pits. Anyone who has been around short track racing knows how difficult it would be to try to make up all of those laps, so we just ran our race and tried to stay out of the way."

TOLEDO OH (5-17-08) - ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series veteran Paul Hahn looked every bit the part Saturday afternoon at Toledo Speedway.
The Canton, Michigan driver, in the no. 7 Hahn's Powder Coating-Fox Auto Parts-Howe Racing Chevrolet, led the final 32 circuits en route to winning the Champion Credit Union 50.
"We were on a rail out there," said Hahn. "The truck was working so well; I could hug the white line when I needed too. It's nice to be finally turning our luck around. Can't wait to go to Flat Rock to make it three in a row. It's my home track and we won both races there (Flat Rock) last year, so we feel we have a pretty good handle on it at Flat Rock."

TOLEDO OH (5-16-08) - Sunday's Hantz Group 200 by Federated Car Care at Toledo Speedway is, without question, the main act at Toledo Speedway this weekend.
And while the excitement continues to build for Sunday's grand finale, Saturday's opening act is also creating quite a stir. And for good reason.
ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series veterans' Steve Christman and Nick Gullatta are tied for the lead headed into Saturday's Champion Credit Union 50 starring the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series.
At present, 27 top-notch teams have filed entries for the race, which will be featured at arcaracing.com through Live Timing & Scoring.
Christman, at 60 years young, is still very much on top of his game.
"I certainly feel I'm as good as I ever was; in fact I think I'm probably better," said Christman.

SPARTA KY (5-10-08) - Paul Hahn steered the no. 7 Hahn's Powder Coating-Fox Auto Parts-Howe Racing Chevy Colorado to victory lane Saturday afternoon at Kentucky Speedway, earning his 16th career ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series triumph in the Lincoln Welders 100.
After following race leader Rob Jones for much of the way, the former series champion slipped underneath Jones for the lead in turns one and two on lap 59 and led the final 41 circuits.
"We actually got lucky on this one," said Hahn from victory lane.
