NOTES OF INTEREST: The ARCA RE/MAX 150 at Kentucky Speedway marks the 17th ARCA RE/MAX Series event at Kentucky Speedway since the series debuted there in 2000. After 10 events in 2008, there have been eight different winners. Only Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. and Justin Allgaier are repeat winners this year. In 16 events at Kentucky Speedway, there have only been three repeat winners: Frank Kimmel, Chad Blount and Ryan Hemphill. There have been no repeat winners since Hemphill swept both events in 2004. Kimmel, who has 4 Kentucky wins, is the all-time lap leader at Kentucky with 536 laps-led in 10 races. Kimmel is currently fourth in points headed to Kentucky, trailing point leader Stenhouse, second place Scott Speed and third place Matt Carter. Carter occupies the familiar 46 Ford that Kimmel vacated to start his own Kimmel Racing team. Stenhouse, a development driver for Roush Fenway Racing, also lead the Hoosier Superspeedway Challenge Championship headed to Kentucky. The Hoosier Superspeedway Challenge is an accumulation of points from all of the superspeedway races in any given year. Stenhouse has two superspeedway wins in 08 at Kentucky and Pocono. Stenhouse is also the leading SunTrust Rookie of the Year contender headed to Kentucky. From the female ranks, Angela and Amber Cope, nieces of NASCAR veteran Derrick Cope, have filed entries for Kentucky as has series regular Gabi DiCarlo of Phoenix, Arizona. Drivers from 19 states and Canada are currently entered. Surrey British, Columbia's Ryan Fischer, who finished a career-best third at Kentucky back in May, is the only Canadian driver entered. Only one driver is currently entered from the state of Kentucky - that would be Owensboro, Kentucky's Brett Hudson.
